REQUEST FOR ENTRIES
| The Club Européen de la Santé [European Health Club], created in 1970, is an association recognised as being in the public interest. Its aim is to contribute to the development of the promotion of health by awareness-raising, education and prevention campaigns. |
| After having taken the initiative for the 1st Global Summit on Cervical Cancer, sponsored by Unesco, in 2007, the Club is continuing its work in this area and has launched an award entitled "Women's Health". |
| The projects submitted are to be for implementation in the European territory and, in this first year, will concern campaigns with the objective of improving cervical cancer prevention. These projects shall relate more particularly to educational work to improve, directly or indirectly, women’s level of knowledge. Particular attention will be given to associative projects which encourage the involvement of young women and / or their mothers and which could easily be transferred to other countries. |
| The President of the Club Européen, Ms Dominique Dupont, will gather around her the top experts in each country to select the projects. |

The successful candidates at the end of this initial selection process will be invited to present,
by 15 September 2008, a file of 5 to 6 pages describing the project, an implementation programme,
an estimated budget and a one-page presentation of the applicant association or organisation. The winning project will be selected between 15 September and 15 October 2008. The candidates will be notified of the outcome by post. |
| The successful project will be presented at the Women Against Cervical Cancer Conference to be held in Nice on 12 November 2008. The prize, in the sum of € 10,000, will be awarded on this occasion. |
